Curitiba Afonso Pena International Airport guide
Curitiba Afonso Pena International Airport Terminals and Arrivals
Curitiba Afonso Pena International Airport handles both domestic and international flights through its main passenger terminal. Arriving passengers collect their luggage and then pass into the arrivals hall, where ground transport options are clearly signposted.
Before you leave the arrivals area, confirm which exit you need for your chosen transport. Taxis, buses, car hire and private drivers each use different points, so following the ground transport signs will save you time with heavy bags.
How to Get from Curitiba Afonso Pena International Airport to Curitiba
The most direct ways to reach Curitiba from CWB are a taxi, a private transfer or a bus. Journey times depend on traffic, so allow extra time during the rush hours and on busy travel days.
- Taxi: Official taxis queue at the airport taxi stand. Ask the driver to use the meter or confirm the fare before setting off.
- Private transfer: A driver is booked in advance for a fixed fare, which suits travellers who want certainty about the cost.
- Bus: Bus services link the airport with the city. Check current routes and timetables locally before you travel, as they can change.
- Ride-hailing: Ride-hailing apps operate in Curitiba. Make sure you know the pick-up point for your app before you land.
- Car hire: Car rental desks are available at the airport if you plan to drive yourself around Paraná.
Curitiba Afonso Pena International Airport Private Transfer and Taxi
A private transfer from Curitiba Afonso Pena International Airport lets you agree the fare before you travel, so traffic on the road into the city does not change what you pay. This is useful after a long-haul flight when you would rather not negotiate with drivers at the kerb.
Vonaride tracks your flight, so your driver can adjust the pick-up time if your plane arrives early or late. A driver meets you in the arrivals area holding a name sign, and drivers speak English. Free waiting time is included, and its length depends on the airport and provider, shown before you book. You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before pick-up.
To check prices or request a quote for a Curitiba airport transfer, use the booking form on the Vonaride website. Availability depends on your date and time, so submit your request early.
